Did anyone else receive a pamphlet in the mail yesterday titled Texas, trans and LGBTQ plus student resource guide? It was addressed to our home with our name, but to the attention of our children. First of all my children never were interested in any of my mail and I resent that this is being sent out trying to get kids attention. Anyway, I guess you know now how I feel about it. I just thought it was awful. I didn't post a picture of it because I didn't know if it was allowed.

Someone posted a link to the same or a similar pamphlet on the web. You are free to post a photo if you like. (but, if you post a reply / comment, it will not be anonymous...)
It is a fake organization. Scare tactic.
"TENT posted Oct 17: "These text messages and mailers were not authored, authorized, approved, or distributed by TENT and are not affiliated with our organization." The same content first went out as unsolicited texts earlier this month. Then as physical mail, addressed to the STUDENT in each household, starting Oct 18-19 - right as early voting opened in the Paxton vs. Talarico Senate race.." The Texas Tribune has an article about it.

yet one more instance of trying to keep political power by lies and deception. a good bet is that those mailings were paid for by PAC's. the antiTalerico ads as well as antiHinojosa ads are obsessive about transgender and sexual matters. kind of like guiding the sheep using Tasers...

So, fake mailers to scare people with the "trans" boogeyman...dirty politics...
#msg6035077The Texas Tribune
Omg my dh and I were just saying the same thing.
What I'm curious about is why do Texans continue to support these people? Yes Arizona is considered a red state. But we honestly don't hear a lot of this crap. Of course they all have their fear mongering tactic for keeping themselves in office.
I just wish people would wake up to it and take hard looks at these people, and their own important issues. I do not believe anyone actually believes the **** coming out of these mouths. All politicians should get back to the important issues such as infrastructure, energy, education, job growth, etc. This schoolyard bully, name calling, cult behavior what the people deserve. It's ******* embarrassing.

And this woman espouses to being Christian when she knowingly and willingly lies about Talarico.
Miriam Evans, is a Republican activist from the Dallas area. The false claims she spouts are from a not a thing to do with surgery or criminal penalties for anything bill. In case anybody cares.
She uses her last name everywhere but in that ad. I like to know who is that pontificating and criticizing publicly. Sometimes they lie.
Said on the news it was fake and the Organization did not send it out.
teatime, Sophos3 and TXLobo reacted It's a propaganda campaign to insight voters and is a total scam and disinformation campaign. I'm Pro Life to a point of not endangering the life of the woman. I tend to vote primarily republican, but fear that if the Republicans retain both the House and Senate that Trump is going to go all out the day after the election to deport as many immigrants as possible, go after the Morning after pill by making Mifepristone and misoprostol both illegal and definitely not able to be prescribed by an out of state doctor or online. There's more danger to your kids by Tik-Tok and all the other social media platforms than this transgender scare tactic campaign. Don't be fooled by the talk to make these big data and AI centers pay and provide their own power. The power that is needed to run just 1 would take a mini nuclear reactor power plant and in Texas alone there are 30-40 being built. Those would take 5+ years to permit and build. Then, if you think that a multi billion dollar data center is going to risk thousands of its servers and all that stored data from being lost due to a lack of power then you're delusional. We'll all be in the dark for weeks if it comes to keeping the power on for us or the data center. Then if it's run by AI , what do you think that the AI will do? Choose its own death over us not getting power?

That is pretty Awful to be targeting kids with such an inflammatory brochure. Sounds like something the opposing candidate would send out. Will be glad when this election is behind us. I feel like I am living in the 50's with all this yellow journalism running rampant thanks to AI!
Next, we'll have drones blanketing the neighborhoods with leaflets from above probably saving that for Presidential Election, can't wait!🇺🇸

It's a scare tactic by MAGA and the Republicans. Paxton can't very well campaign on cleaning up corruption can he? Abbott knows that he needs something to wave over the complacent to fire them up. lol.

Let's get them out to the polls by reminding them that there is a big 'ol trans bogey man out to snatch their kid's genitals!
