Did they not give you an option to go to traffic school to have the ticket thrown out? That's what happened to me when I screwed up and got my first ticket in 30 years. I did it online and took it to the courthouse window, paid the court costs and it was done. I never had to go to court. You won't have any luck fighting the ticket.

Officers have assigned days in court from their superiors and that is why your court date is usually a month of more out because they give you at least a month so they write the ticket for their court day after their next.

Anyone driving that doesn't know basic road rules and the curiosity of the road, shouldn't be driving. Using turn signals is as basic as it gets. Yes you use them even if you are in said turning lane.
And for God's sake stop blocking intersections at rush hour. Either leave early or wait your turn.

Texas Driver course would be best or plead guilty and pay the fine. Do not blow it off. As there will be Consequences Bench warrant "failure to appear". If you don't go or pay then you will get, lit up again, more red and blue lights again, and if you decide high speed police chase, Police will Pit your vehicle and you will crash out. Do not run from the police. Because then more charges and jail. Hopefully you survive all that and your life won't be ruined quite yet. All for "no turn signal ticket. People actually do all this to themselves over minor almost nothing traffic tickets all the time.

I can't count how many times I've asked "Do you need a turn signal for Christmas?" But I don't take turn signals for granted. Too many gave them on and don't know it.
