Friends, I need a little help, and I need it fast.
My father-in-law, (James) Jim Emmert, is a Navy Vietnam veteran and was just called at the last minute to go on an Honor Flight. We only had two days to prepare, so I'm trying to pull together letters for his mail call as quickly as possible.
If you would be willing to write him a short note, it would mean so much. It does not have to be long or fancy. A few sincere sentences thanking him for his service, wishing him a meaningful trip, or simply saying "Welcome home" would be perfect.
And to my friends who are veterans, I would especially love for him to hear from you. There is something different about words of gratitude coming from someone who understands service in a way the rest of us never fully can.
You do not have to know Jim personally to write to him. If you have ever wanted the chance to thank a Vietnam veteran directly, this is one.
You can message, or email the letter to me, and I will print it and make sure it gets included. Because of the short notice, I need them as soon as possible.

Thank you to anyone who helps me fill his hands with a little piece of the gratitude he earned a long time ago. ❤️
