Chow : No, my other friend (from CA) is also anti-Trump and does not discuss politics with her either because we're all friends. I have no idea how my CA friend even knows the other's political views, but she is from Florida so it tracks.When you say you have zero Democrat friends, how do you know this? Do you ask them right away when meeting them for the first time? Most people steer away from politics when meeting new people.

I s question often asking why the erson thinks as they do. I have received absoluely zero answers.

Well I understand about Oregon. Just being there and outside in the beauty of nature, no one needs to ruin it with political talk.

Chow : No, I would never change my opinion simply because my friends have a different one, that's something people who can't think for themselves would do. We're usually not that far off on some individual issues, but a lot of the disagreement comes from the current president, they feel he's good for the Country and I think he's a disaster. I may change my opinion based on several factors, but that will be a function on how I see a certain issue and how I feel about it, not how most of my friends do. I also live in a red area and work in oil and gas, so I'm much more likely to come into contact with people who are very much on the right. If I lived in Minneapolis or Chicago, I would probably have more friends that lean the other way. I also weigh issues independently of right of left. I think the bible and 10 commandments in public schools is wrong, I also think biologically male students should not be in girls' sports. Thinking differently than most of my friends does not mean I'm looking at things wrong, and it doesn't mean they are either, just different.All that being said, I'm keeping my mouth shut on our dove hunt this weekend.

You grew up no different than most of us from Texas, we did all those things. I was raised in a Christian environment even as far as private schooling for the first eight years. It taught me tolerance for differences. I even chawed tobacco.
