sweetie : I've been doing some light research on the allegation that she married her brother. There appears to be no basis for this claim. It seems to be more in the realm of a right wing smear than anything else. In regard to falsifying immigration papers, there appears to be no evidence of that either.

GiggleMugs : I'm defending her right to free speech. I'm defending her right to due process as an American citizen if she's indicted for anything. Which so far, she has not been. What I'm not for is the President putting his thumb on the scale by making her a personal target of his. And the DOJ going after her because he wants them to. As opposed to making an independent decision to do so based on the law!

Homeland Security Investigations agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant at Omar's DC-area home as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation for immigration fraud.
A home search warrant is not handed out lightly. A federal judge reviewed the evidence and found probable cause that incriminating material would be found. That is a high bar, especially for a sitting member of Congress three weeks before the midterms.
@Ilhan says she's being targeted by a political enemy. Federal judges do not sign these warrants because someone on X is mad. They sign them when the government presents evidence.
No charges have been filed yet. This is not a conviction. It is, however, the clearest sign yet that the long-running allegations about her immigration history have moved from political talking points into an active federal criminal investigation.
Even worse for Ilhan, she now will possibly (and hopefully) face federal RICO charges for the Minnesota fraud scandals, carrying up to 20 years in prison
