Breast Cancer Awareness October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Be sure to keep up on those exams and mammograms. One piece of good news: after biopsies, surgery, radiation, and 5 years of medication, my mammograms and exams are clear and the oncologist has declared me breast cancer free. I am thankful to have caught it before it spread. Prayers for all who are still undergoing treatments and recovery. My niece-in-law has just had a double mastectomy, completed radiation, and started chemo. She is very strong and looking forward to life beyond these challenges.

I am so glad you beat this. Butler just lost his brothers wife to breast cancer. My mother had it and died from it. My sister caught it early and is cancer free. I hate getting those mammograms but worth it to find cancer early. I also get a sonogram to double check.
My Mom had breast cancer twice, separately in each breast. I schedule my well-woman visits with mammogram, religiously. They say since hers was post-menopausal, then I'm not a guaranteed high risk, but I'm not taking any chances.
