I do wish we had nationwide local drug/homeless/vagrant enforcement entities. In no way is this safe, not for herself or for society at large.

If we were able to set up hundreds of fully functional tent cities complete with every imaginable creature comfort, why can't we do that for these?

The police should have the power to round em up and take em to a tent……just like a dui or the like are taken to jail. The Supreme Court has ruled removing vagrants, the homeless, drug addicts from public spaces is lawful. They need help…..they deserve help…….and until we recognize they are not in a position to to help themselves, it falls on us to do what must be done…..even if against their current will.

Bumping this thread in case it has any connection to the woman missing after leaving Kingwood Pines Hospital.

I did not know that it was possible to bump a two month old thread, I thought a thread was locked after 7 days without any new replies.

No issues with it, I'm just curious now if that is not always the case.

FriggandFreya : TEXASGIRLMAMMA :
You can bump old threads again if you want an update or have new info. Just please don't abuse it (ex: bump a bunch of threads on the same topic to attempt to monopolize the home page, or bump it just to get more attention to your own thread).

Joe : Don't worry about me. I don't think I have ever resurrected a thread that was more than a few days old.

@everyone : Has anyone seen the homeless woman recently? According to the flyer, she has some distinctive characteristics i.e., tattoo, missing lower teeth. Keep your eyes out for her. It is really a sad situation. Why would that hospital release her without a friend or relative and no transportation? There has to be more to this story.

MissAmericanPie :
The trails ARE private property, owned by the Trails Association(the seperate bill you pay besides the HOA dues) which is why we can't have HPD patrol them on the regular.

Trust me HPD knows already, they know what is going on. Not a crime to be homeless. Yes they can help people and do. If she is breaking no laws, if that's the case which it probably is. I wish her well and hope things work out for her.
