Now we need relief at electric meter, water meter, healthcare, Groceries, all taxes, and many more. This is not a win.

This morning they said diesel in California is $6.96 or 69 a gallon. Enjoy those winter vegetables. Oh wait, there's nobody to pick them, so they rot in the field.
As for health care in texass, it's one reason we couldn't stand it. Just routine checkups were subpar. In the 15 years total of living there, not one doctor checked my ears, heart, etc. They never touched me. Just a conversation and a quick 15 minutes at that. I had one doctor refuse to come into the room until I agreed to unwarranted tests. She then refused me my asthma meds. One doctor would check a lump on my dh's balls. Said, it's probably nothing. My dh had to insist on an ultrasound. I am thankful we are healthy in our late 60's/ 70.
Keep cheering for data centers and water and electricity will be off the charts.
Housing is off the charts. Same houses just 10 years ago were 1/3 the price. Expect insurance to sky rocket as the orange man continues to deregulate everything for his fan club. Jmo

#msg6023890Cbear : Price per barrel dropped today. That is a good thing.
Who was picking all the vegetables before the 20 million border jumpers came in? I recall having plenty of produce.
Are you being sarcastic, lol.
People stopped going to work. Maybe take a look and see how farmers, ranchers, etc are short handed. One guy was crying with all the seasonal workers not showing up, he can't clear his fields. Boo hoo, it's what they wanted. If the went after the worst of the worst and left workers alone, they wouldn't be crying. They shot themselves in the wallet. Rotting crops don't sell.

Not really, oil goes up and down based on markets and governments. Oil is primarily controlled by governments, private oil companies have to react to the geopolitical climate for pricing. Government policies have a significant influence on the U.S. economy, particularly in shaping energy prices and the overall energy market. Recent federal policy changes have been shown to increase energy prices, slow economic growth, and impact job creation, highlighting the interconnectedness of energy policy and economic health.

#msg6023916Cbear : This is a good thing. I will be glad when gas prices go down. It shouldn't take long!
Sit and wait. Iran has theeatened to resume attacks on shipping through Hormuz and oil infrastructure. Meanwhile the Houthis are doing heir thing.
There is a great documenta.ry from
1960 on that subject of harvesting crops.
Harvest of Shame
Edward S. Murrow directed it
1966.
And The harvest 2011
Eva Longoria produced it
