jv339 : Are you from Boston? I felt the same yet not… Mom used to take us every August for our back to school clothes to Filenes Basement. UGH! So crowded. Rude people! My 2 brothers and I would take pins from the bins and anyone who got to close got pricked. We had to try on the clothes over what we were wearing. Mom at 89 still wonders why I hate to shop, lol.

That can be overwhelming for a kid, not interested in budgets! As a young adult, I Loved that place. Never knew what you were going to find. One thing I would never do was their Annual Bridal Sale: That was a Mob scene! Designer Gowns for dollars vs thousands! Yes, moved to Boston area when I was 14.❤️

I bought all my daughters pretty dresses at Foleys! They had a great children's dept.
I actually still have 3 dresses from then and she's 38 now. I'm going to frame one and send the other 2 to my cousin that has 2 granddaughters.
