Ireland puttings kids safely first. They banned kids on scooters

We can't even get guns out of kids hands or backpacks but we want to legislate scooters ? Maybe people in cars need to slow way down in the neighborhood.

Zero to do with drivers. These kids are using motorized vehicles on public roadways with absolutely no understanding of traffic rules. They shoot out into traffic without looking, run red lights and stop signs and have no fear. If an actual car runs a red light and you hit it, is it your fault because you weren't paying attention or you were driving too fast?

How slow? Kids have been hit at school zone speed. They don't have the maturity for a motorized vehicle.
The gun issue is completely separate from this. More than one thing is important and guns aren't legal in kids's hands.
