#msg6021464Cbear : I am not personally big on the death penalty, primarily because it does not deter anyone from killing another person, and psychopaths will always be psychopaths. But, I understand why it is a form of punishment; if they are going to do it, then it should be foolproof. Go back to firing squads or the electric chair, if they can't get decent enough veins for lethal injections.

Fire squad would work not matter the condition of the prisoner. I personally would not want to live in prison. I would welcome the firing squad.
My guess is she has a veinous line functioning now and is alive because she is on a ventilator. Use the line for pain killer (morphine) and turn off the ventilator.

I'm a Christian and I am absolutely FOR the death penalty.
There are Evil people who kill and their punishment should be Death.
When someone has been determined to be the hand of death, then their punishment should be Death. Not life without parole. Death. Screw their remorse, screw their jail house conversion to Christianity and their jail house college degree. Death should be the punishment. Nothing less.
I believe in the death penalty as long as it's an absolute that person is the guilty person. For example, if you get caught holding the smoking gun, or the evidence is spot on, then no need to drag it out for thirty years. Caught, convicted, sentenced and executed if that is the sentence. The victim and their family deserve a timely justice. This girl was 18 when she committed this horrible gruesome crime. She got to live for another 30 years. In jail, yes, but she lived, she laughed, she maybe even had some lovers. So, she robbed a life and chose hers. Nope, just use fentynol. They say it takes a pinhead amount.

Thank you so much for the tips. This is one of a handful of topics I am passionate about.
There is no foolproof method. After an initial fail, does does it become a Roman circus like spectacle dwvolved into MORE, MORE, MORE! I find that inhuman.
I would question whether of for whatever reason a higher power intervened to save that person
Not an easy subject matter.

Thanks for your response. I always have believed in it. The last several years I have had a stronger belief in God, and feel closer to him... I guess you could say. So I just wondered if it was wrong to still believe in the death penalty. I always hear about Christians forgiving people that murdered their children and things like that. And I think..... no way could I ever. And I think many Christians just feel that killing is never right no matter what, even when the justice system sentences someone to death. It is interesting to know how other people feel about it.

Great points. They keep living their lives, after taking someone else's life. Having all those moments their victim did not have. And it was a horrific crime. No excuses even if you were treated badly. Many abused people rise above and do not kill, or even break the law.
rocklady2024 and TEXASGIRLMAMMA reacted This case is going to be a feeding frenzy for attorneys. Maybe even a triple jeopardy issue if they try to do it again ?
