elguapo : RolloTomaso : I left HEB the other day and was starving. Got in line. Ordered the patty melt. $8? I had time to think about it in the drive thru. Said "Hell no" For a few dollars more, go to Skeeters. $10 something, fries and .... made fresh.
Cbear : I agree, Skeeters is better than any chain. They have a fabulous grilled chicken sandwich. And they actually really grill their meat. We like to get carryout on the salmon dinner and bring it home. Its delicious. It comes with julienned fresh veggies and rice. And they give a senior discount.

teatime : Well, they're okay. Had them many times, but I don't really love that smoky flavor they have on everything, so strong that it wafts out all over the parking lot. Also, they're often soggy and a drippy mess. I'm sorry it's probably an unpopular opinion.

Whataburger Time to cancel this crappy burger joint. They've had enough time to fix their crappy mutated version of what it used to be. Slicing a single patty into two is not what makes a double meat burger. I think it changed hands to some firm in Chicago some time ago and has done the same to the business as they have done to Chicago. Time for them to go!
elguapo : Yup, They did change hands and it is a company up north that bought them. Unfortunately, they have kind of run it into the ground. What-A-Shame!

HappyinTX : Bill's Cafe! They have a great burger. Go when it is cool and sit out on the patio. Go when you have a little time. They are kind of slow but so worth it!

HappyinTX : Their sides are also great. Choose from fries, fried okra, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and other options. They are all good!
I still like eating at the one next to HEB. I get a double Whataburger Jr sometimes, very good.
