Yes. I would be almost willing to kill for something boring but safe right now. The job market has been horribly competitive, and I've been unemployed for too long.

Sweetpeas6 : Always look for something else while you're employed. While I was working, I stayed looking for something else even if things weren't too bad at the time. I think it's easier to find something when you're working.

Sweetpeas6: just depends, if someone is utilizing that job to spring into another then yes. Seems it's always easier to find a good job when you already have a job. Yet safe isn't always better. If you're good at what you know & this company doesn't care or show appreciation then no.
I've worked for a few horrible bosses & companies. Yet once you work for someone that truly appreciates you & wants to make sure you succeed you wonder why you stayed at that safe low paying job so long… wish you luck in your future career ventures!

Employed or not, I always watch the job openings. A boss caught me one day. Actually I was on break having a snack and was reading the paper. He asked if I was job hunting? Well, no but yes. He asked, what's that even mean. I replied, I like my job and I'm happy here. That doesn't mean I shouldn't know the who what where and how much they are paying in the current job market. Who knows, a great opportunity may arise. Wink wink. I went back to my paper and snack.
Of course everyone knew I had side hustle action. Even now, I got something something in the works. A little something to stash for the just in case, or the it won't come out of the bank stuff.
