So when did the turning rules change on 494 north to Kingwood Dr

anonymous : I thought that intersection was always only the right-most lane turning right, coming from the south. Same for left turn onto Kingwood drive from the north.

I don't ever remember two lane turning from that point either ?

Pretty sure it's always been only one right turn lane… I know I've gotten annoyed at the drivers that didn't want to wait their turn!

The feeder rd has 2 right turns but watch the time 😀

It has only ever had one dedicated turn lane, I can't stand the people that just go up and turn yet sit at the same light as all of us

494 has always been just the one turn lane.. Are you talking about from the feeder road on to Kingwood Drive?? That one is or was two lanes...

Or better yet, the intersection at NP and the feeder going West on NP where people just U-turn right into oncoming traffic because of the masterminds at TxDOT failed to make a turn around in that train wreck of road construction before the lights at 494 and the 59 feeder. There is eventually gonna be wreck there because people just U-turn at will there now.

anonymous : That intersection has never had 2 right turn lames. It's always been the single outside lane. There are 2 right turn lanes on the 59 feeder road @ KWD in every direction

TexasTideFan : I saw a near miss at that intersection last week when I was going to the hospital. Some guy in a white F150 made a U-turn and almost got hit buy another truck going eastbbound on NP @ 59.
