We did this a while back and we found Huntington which is up in the front on KWD. They are based in Ohio and are expanding their footprint to Texas and buying up banks. They are one of the Top 15 nationally . They have great customer service in person and if you call the branch, most of the time you will get a live person and no prompts.
We got in on an offer for their Plus checking account and we did two of them and after 3 months we got $400 per account.
Their app is pretty good and I use the desktop version a lot more. The only drawback for me is that Zelle is only on the app, if you use Zelle.
They do have good security and multi-factor authentication.
The also have some neat cross account features if they are separate owners but you want to know what is going on for each other. There are some other things with savings accounts that be interconnected too.
Many different solutions. They also have 2 day early pay for direct deposits. They even offer you a credit line not based on your credit score but on your bank history and the rates are very low if you choose to go that way. We have not but nice to know if there is an emergency.
