This is good news for many; hope they put out some signs in the area, too, so people will know it's re-opening.

I would love it if there were some booths with classy home interior items (not Tumu or craft stuff) and small antiques and vintage art.
Even some gourmet packaged food that wasn't available other places and reasonably priced.

#msg5999137This would have been a great space for a Target. This is just another flea market. Same shopping center as dollar store and less than five. Such a cheap way to enter the neighborhood.

WitchQueen : It's a nice shopping center, and in a great location for Kingwood...a lot of people missed the old Painted Tree. I get it if it's not for you, but seems like everyone doesn't feel that way.

There is enough traffic back up between Chestnut Ridge and the freeway without putting aTarget.

I went to the Collective this weekend with my DDs. I is basically the same as it was when it was the Painted Tree. I would say it is only 1/3 full at the most. Venders have been able to get their spots back so that is really nice. I bought a decoration to put out in my yard for Labor Day. I hope they get filled up fast!

I don't understand why vendors would want to go back there after all that happened, with many of them losing so much. Seems risky to me.

WitchQueen : Sorry, but a Target would not bring the neighborhood up. The Collective just like the Painted Tree is a great place for people to go to spend a few hours in a nice cool place. The shopping center is not an eyesore!

HappyinTX : It does seem a little risky. I talked to one of the venders and they say the owners of the Collective were venders at the Painted Tree. They feel these people are going to be responsible owners.

You want to talk about traffic. Wait until they stick the Crunch Fitness next to Sprouts. There will be no more dashing up to Hallmark or PostNet. There will be no parking places. We have a poorly planned community now.

We absolutely love the Shopping Center with Sprouts, Hallmark, Flying Bisquit, Pet Ranch, Sake Bon. Even Subway and Walgreens. Its been empty too long. Sorry we wont see your bright shiny face. We are in there a lot!

Luv2eatsushi :
Did you even read the comment? Yes! We all love the shopping center the way it is right now. We do not need another gym and it will take up all the parking space for Sprouts, Hallmark, Post Net, etc. If you have trouble understanding that, you are part of problem. The ladies at Hallmark are very sad with new addition of gym in small parking lot.
