So what should be different in the dress code for boys vs girls? Did you read it? There are obviously things that don't apply to both genders because it isn't in style for boys to wear skirts but what is they chose to? The complaint is more towards how it is being interpreted and enforced. Boys get away with sleeveless, girls didn't. Developed girls get in trouble for short shorts, other girls don't. The prison who wrote this wants clarity and fairness. There is nothing wrong with that
District-issued student identification badges shall be worn by all middle and high school
students.

Itneen
#msg5994612 You really think a middle schooler wrote that?? I think they had some "help" and maybe its the parents who want this??
I am sorry you had a bad experience but you can't blame a whole state for a few ******s.
What town were you in?
Not if they are on the JROTC swim team. Full fatigues everyday!
Thank you for the tips! Oh and if you are giving most of the teens a ride home, they are soaking wet so take a jeep with the carpet taken out for the season. LOL

I pass Creekwood kids when taking my grandson to his elementary school. I usually don't pay that much attention but since all of this dress code controversy I am being more observant.
This morning I saw young ladies walking to school wearing shorts that were the athletic type that are very short - not too different from what the waitresses at Hooter's wear. You know the kind-very short with bright solid colors with the athletic stripe on the side. They remind me of the old style men's basketball shorts that look so funny when you see old game replays.
I cannot imagine that any middle school males would be caught dead wearing those little shorts. I don't know of the couple of girls I saw wearing them have 1st period athletics or were trying to make dress code statement.
And these students were of normal build - maybe tall but definitely slender. I don't care what their body shape is- these shorts were not what I would consider appropriate clothing for school or workplace.

I agree, but the girls are not always to blame. Unfortunately, some of their mothers dress this way as well not knowing better; "if it's sexy, then it's good kind of mentality."
#msg5994989MissAmericanPie : My mom does this SH!!!!!!!!T to my niece and it pisses me off, yes kids can be a lot further ahead than you think. Stop doubting people just because of their age.
#msg5995152JerryJustice : Lol, a kid didnt write that. AI or a parent or both. But thats too bad bc it would have been a great opportunity to learn how to write something like that and learn how to organize thoughts, translate them into a proper document and maybe do a little research!
#msg5995156MissAmericanPie : Keep doubting those kids, they will keep surprising you
#msg5995158JerryJustice : I dont doubt them. Just bc they didn't write that letter doesnt mean anything besides they didnt write the letter. Lol
