Attention KW Birders:

I had three hummingbirds fighting over the feeder yesterday. I wanted to tell them, "Guys! There are four ports on the feeder! Just learn to share!!!" They spend more time dive bombing each other than feeding.

UptownGirl : kingwood proper. Property used to back up to the river 3 miles away. Now it's homes, concrete, and flooding.

cardinalsong : Yes, I see them chasing each other off all the time. I'm always thinking, why can't they just share, there are plenty of holes in that feeder?! Lol

UptownGirl : it was nice while it lasted. We rode 2 cycle dirt bikes through the woods. Development started and the fun was done. I remember walking across the greenbelt when it was paved behind the house. East end park was a sand pit before Riverwood was built. Many memories for the kids.

UptownGirl : Yes, I have seen them too. It does seem like the other birds scatter when they fly into the yard.

UptownGirl : blue Jay's are bullies. We do multiple feeders with different fill. Try pure seed no sunflower if you want less blue jay. That wild bird place can help

I had camera bird feeder which I enjoyed until the squirrels and rats invaded. I took it down,but ready to try it again. Hopefully their pea brains have forgotten about it!

Thanks for sharing pics! I hope to get some Tanagers and other different species in our backyard this Fall. We have had the hummingbirds for 2 weeks now. They love the Turkscaps that I planted.👍
