#msg5989233CatalinaD : The weird thing to me is...is that Kingwood, per capita, actually has quite a bit less retail than a lot of other communities of similar size....and even so, we have a lot of empty retail buildings...kind of puzzling to me.

#msg5989229TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I agree with filling up the empty spaces. Painted Tree is the latest place to be vacated. I wouldn't mind if SteinMart came back!

#msg5989240CatalinaD : Traffic is always going to be here, face the facts. I am for new stores.

#msg5989248Joe: agreed; a concept they bring up every once in awhile, to see if interest or investors are awakened.
The heb center on kingwood drive and w lake houston was built over 3 retention ponds. Did the area have any issues when it was an apartment complex? Think 1996ish? Convenience of residents has overtaken common sense. Both traffic and runoff has increased. Both hofo and Randall's were available. Your precious Chick-fil-A, why not the old Exxon station?

We need another great cozy place like Zachary's that is a local live music hub. I wish they hadn't retired and sold to those horrible new owners that ran it into the ground. The local breweries and taverns are trying, but they rely on food trucks. A restaurant with a bar was a big draw and had something for everyone. P.S. - Yes, I'm still bitter about how that all went down.

#msg5989263donnatella : we like lake houston brewery. Expensive but fun experience. Not kingwood proper. I have no affiliation with the business.
No new developments anywhere until the either refurbish, or construct on already defunct properties. They built, let rot, and abandon to build new, leaving a cesspool behind to attract rodents of animal and human kind. Jmo
