Homeless woman on Lake Houston Parkway

Perhaps people have concern about a female out alone all night with no one else around. So is she perhaps in danger?

Some folks amaze me. If they were truly concerned, take a bottle of water or a few...its hot. And talk to her. Ask if she needs/wants help. If she isnt hurting anyone and seems HPD is aware, mind your own business unless you intend to help.
If you arent part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Some people don't want vagrants in their community. They provide nothing to benefit the community. There are few city funded trash receptacles and bathrooms in this area. Are these people paying taxes for resources that are being abused and not used?

Yes, that was me. It's the same lady. I've been trying to find a way to get social services to come out and do a wellness check. I have some numbers now to call, but I cannot find her during the day, and I doubt they'd come out here at night to do a check. She gets food from Kroger, and leaves bags of things in the woods. She sleeps on the bench, and has a little blankets. Same clothes everyday. She has a phone, so I assume that someone is paying the bill. I don't know.HappyDay2016 :
No, this is not Sadie. This is an older white woman, I would gauge in her 60s. She's been there for a number of months, my husband and I started seeing her in the spring.

How do you know that people have not already done that? Some folks don't parade their good deeds to the public. My husband and I are concerned because she's older and it's HOT outside. We are not equipped to have a stranger join our household to take care of her (if she even wanted it), so we are looking to find a service that has the resources to reach out to her and possibly help.

My husband and I have spoken with law enforcement, and they cannot do anything to help her (cause they are there to keep the peace, and she's not disruptive). But they were able to give us a few numbers to call for social services (different groups) to request a wellness check. Just trying to figure out where she goes during the day so I have a location for the service.

Can not be there after dark etc…..Kingwood does not need to begin to harbor anyone homeless in all the greenbelts and parks no matter what some of you think.

SpaceCat : this is because she is on private property. The property owners need to issue complaints. Law enforcement can not enforce private rules and regulations unless requested. Maybe somebody has a PRIVATE backyard she can reside in?

I'm not looking to have her removed. I'm looking to find a group that can check on her on er welfare and help address any needs she might have. If I can find a place where she goes regularly and reliably, I can tell these agencies when and where, and maybe they can assist.

I don't know how I feel about this. This is how San Francisco and L.A.started out. They had bleeding hearts and the word got around to a lot of other homeless that they are welcome and more will come here.
I would much rather see them all in a program where they are medically diagnosed, treated and jobs found.
If they turn down treatment then maybe they are just lazy and looking to live on handouts like the street corner hustlers.

Nde3 : Maybe she has permission? I saw a video about a homeless guy who got permission from the landowner to live on land in Kingwood and has basically been there for something like 20 years... ( SkynetAware )
