I eat there when I'm in New Braunsfel and it is so good. Looks like it is open in the Heights.

Weathergirl5 : They are very popular throughout Central Texas.

I eat there in Luling/Lockhart area. Been waiting for their arrival here!

Also just a plug for a Kw restaurant- Firecraft has amazing, creative offerings that reach outside the scope of your standard Texas bbq. Be sure to give Firecraft a try too. They are a hardworking business!

I've been to the one in Dallas several times and really enjoyed it. IMO very good BBQ and will definitely give it a shot when they open.

Annie : I second Firecraft. However, this IS a Central Texas BBQ staple coming to Houston.

Do they have a good lean brisket?

eighteen : It's for sure good but I think Salt Lick is better. You been to SL?

Annie : I was going to ask, is this same Black's that's in Lockhart?

Reivax : Yes I've grubbed at the Lockhart location

Chow : Sure haven't. Where are they located?

Reivax : Yes, they have multiple locations, San Antonio to Dallas. Lockhart is the OG location from what I've read.

eighteen : Driftwood, Tx. You should take your wife it's a cool spot….. way off the beaten path

Chow : I don't think I've ever eaten BBQ in the Hill Country, but I can always smell it driving in.
