oldarn : This afternoon the light was flashing at Forest Garden and Kingwood Dr. It was my turn to go and a minibike runs right in front of me coming down the greenbelt. He is lucky I did not hit him.

Zz98721 : I agree I still see 4 wheelers the kind that should be on a bayou or a deer lease on the roads ridden by adults and I always wonder were are the police? The people doing this have a look on them that says I can do whatever I want so there. Build more jails and make more arrets and collect more fines is what I say.
cbear: TIRED of golf carts onthe greenbelt. They force walkers and bikers into the trees.

cbear : OMG ….these kids doing wheelies ride down my busy street all of the time. Some of these bikes have a platform to rest their leg, so their parents know they are doing wheelies. I literally have anxiety attacks watching them.

Scary as ****! I am very careful, but have had at least three close calls. Multiply that by the drivers in Kingwood. Parents wake up!!!

I'm betting a large percentage of theses kids are learning their driving habits from their overly entitled parents. Not all of them, but a lot.

oldarn : Yesterday I watched a teen with a younger girl zipping along the street on a motorized scooter - no helmets. That made me anxious!
oldarn : I had a golf cart with two miners in it going to stop signing glad it does no lights that I not been watching I would have hit them and probably killed both of them I called 911 and reported it to HPD they acted like it was too much of a bother to mess with it I told him those two kids did would have been most parents are putting their kids on the street toys that are not supposed to be on the street Constable Mark Herman is still in a great job preaching for I believe doing a great job trying to coral this jds HPD does not give a squat they are not interested in forcing any of the laws they just want to be a little black and white car riding around or sitting under a tree napping yes livsaw one sleep under a tree or whatever should have took a picture of it if it's possible

Luv2eatsushi : Yes what I was trying to say was I was going up East lake Houston parkway with two kids and a golf cart ran a stop sign it was almost dark they had no lights and I almost hit them if I hit them I would have killed both those young little critters I called 911 and they acted like it was too much of a bother to come out here and talk to those kids I appreciate what Mark Herman does he's in law enforcement and not a babysitter like the city of Houston is thank you and thank you for translating it
Who's liable if a kid knocks you down and injures you on the trails ?
billcherie2 : I would see that as failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian while operating a motorized vehicle. If a minor, the guardian would be responsible. « Back to Chat
