turkeyandchips : I order some from Amazon and it is so easy to return stuff. But, touching the item is important to me. It really does make a difference. I generally don't go to the mall except when I park at Dillard's and only shop there. I never go into the mall.
eighteen : Ive gone to that mall for ages with no incident. I usually don't go on the weekends because too many people and teens, but I've never had a problem. People forget that teenagers like to hang out at the mall, sadly we are living in a crazy world with too many people ready to cause havoc and destruction. Shootings can happen anywhere even in Kingwood.

UptownGirl : That's a little naive. Every time you leave your house, you risk becoming a victim to gun violence. This is Texas, everyone is carrying and/or getting their gun stolen. Driving, walking, entering a business/school, you're at risk. To think it's apples to oranges is ridiculous.
eighteen : yes, people still need to buy school clothes and shoes, and apparently, the perp and victim were known to each other, so not a random event. No less dangerous, though. I go try on shoes and clothes, and then often order them online, as the prices are lower, or there is an internet savings. Especially with Old Navy, Skechers shoes,Kohls, even WalMart, etc.
eighteen : Then barricade yourself in your house. You are going way overboard. It is still apple to oranges.
UptownGirl : It's reality, the reality of our current climate. I don't need to barricade myself. I also don't have a problem going to Deerbrook Mall.
eighteen : OK I have not been at that mall in years but the people causing all the trouble are the same people all the time. It is what it is and we all know it.
UptownGirl : Wrong again. I used to be one of those Mall rats as a teen, doing typical teenager stuff. I've grown out of all of that now. Is it really any different than the Whataburger parking lot at the corner of Kingwood Dr/WLHP?

I was there today, just to meet a friend at Macy's to help her find a dress for a wedding. We walked out of Macy's to 2 or 3 other stores. The place was calm and empty.
