Next to James Avery. It is a completely blocked off square if you count the road.

I can't remember what, but I remember a post mentioning something planned for that spot.

It's a long "legal pissing contest" between HEB and SDI, our current property owners. Let me see if I can find a previous post re; this subject. To make a long story short, the only losers are us, the consumers trying to access that property.

Oh yeah HEB, the current owners of that small square parcel of the parking lot built a blockade to that part of the SDI property thus making access more difficult to that area in view of the fact that Sprouts was opening across the street

If they continue to develop that strip center, parking may become a serious issue. If I'm correct each business depending on the size is required to have X amount of parking spaces.

We WISH. It's first come first serve baby. In an effort to make parking more convenient for our customers as a lot of them come in to purchase extremely large heavy bags of pet food we had professionally made parking signs for our storefront for Pet ranch and we told to take them down no exceptions. The only exceptions are for restaurants with curbside pick up. Sucks but true.

But this is an area where no one can park and then walk to a store without walking over a curb or grass. It doesn't make sense to have it blocked off unless something is going there. They could have blocked road access if the reason was to stop people from cutting across the parking lot.

That's the point HEB owns that corner and therefore has blocked access to the parking lot in general that is owned by SDI properties. As I said, it is a pissing contest spawned by the by the Sprout's opening

that is Really sad, as HEB started as small, local stores. They need to remember where They came from, and not block other small businesses.

HEB is playing dog in the manger. They have a loyal customer base. If Sprouts offers something they don't, then they should step up their game.

agreed! this block game feels kinda' "nah nah boo boo' for a company as large as HEB. Healthy competition is a Good thing.
