#msg5951492 The left loves that. Rich people bad. So freakin dumb
I think both sides misunderstand exactly what Musk does. His personality doesn't help with that.
He's more of a venture capitalist and helicopter boss. If you look at the companies he runs, he's directly created about 75% of them, but if you look at the actual inventions, products, or code, he personally created less than 1%. The irony with Tesla is the actual Tesla would probably of hated him like he did Edison.
Dream on. I like money LOL. And I'm generous with it when it comes to others, and I admire people who somehow got to the very top of success with once in a lifetime innovation.
You're prob right. A lot of us don't know all there is to know about him. But he's a standout in the business world despite his weirdness. Nobody should demean that. But bc he was associated with with Trump, he has a red mark by his name. It is what it is.

I have had issues with him long before that but it's mostly because of how he operates with his employees and as a human being. Statistically, studies on corporate psychopathy estimate that between 4% and 12% of CEOs display clinically significant psychopathic or sociopathic traits. Some specialized corporate studies place that number as high as 21%. By comparison, only about 1% of the general population meets this threshold. Just to give an example, when his team told him it would take months to safely shut down a Twitter data center, he flew there on Christmas Eve, pried up the floorboards with a pocket knife, and personally ripped out the cords. The reckless move broke the platform's stability for months, ruining major live streams and forcing him to admit it was a mistake.

#msg5951565StainlessSteelR : Nobody's perfect. Job creation, medical and science advancements that affect people now à nd forever? c'mon. Look up Neuralink!
I'm aware of Neuralink and can see both the potential benefits and massive problems. Musk has a well-documented track record of aggressively pushing products and timelines before critics or regulators deem them fully ready. This pattern became a major systemic issue when he was appointed to help head up DOGE. While he didn't have the constitutional power to unilaterally shutter federal departments, the massive budget cuts and staff layoffs he recommended severely gutted regulatory and oversight agencies. Coincidentally, many of the regulatory arms targeted by these rollbacks were the very ones investigating or 'interfering' with his corporate operations.
Sorry, I just think being involved with technology that helps people who have severe brain injuries, strokes or MS walk again trumps all that stuff you are so focused on.

That was such an unnecessary tragedy! Grandmother lost her life & was an integral part of family. Couple said she watched the kids when they got out of school!😢
It just breaks my heart. When I think about it, it's just the worst kind of victimization. Not only was a grandmother killed à nd must have died à horrible death but her grandkids à nd kids never got to say goodbye, we love you….and suffered through à n abduction and no closure.
