Oh and my son tells me they aren't homeless just people without a home. He has such a big heart. To me those two things mean the same thing. He doesn't know he was homeless the first 7 months of his life with his birth mom. I'm so Thankful to the people that helped them. He is such a joy.

Gingersnap : Nobody should judge any of the homeless because in reality we don't know their story...it is very easy to get there,it can happen to anyone.
homeless(?) women on Lake Houston I've been seeing a lady, and evidence on a lady who might be homeless living around or near the greenbelt underpass between Creekwood Middle and the Lutheran church. My husband has seen her too. Mostly she's sitting on the bench eating food that has been discarded from Kroger (or she bought it very cheaply as it was going to be discarded). She wears the same clothes. And occasionally I see her coming out of the woods. While headed out on my walk yesterday, I saw her go into the woods, and there was a stuffed bag of plastic bags on the bench (like she had just eaten). When I came back, she was not around, but I'm starting to see little piles of trash in the woods at the intersection of the greenbelt on the opposite side of Lake Houston from Creekwood middle.
SpaceCat : Did she actually tell you that she eats discarded/ cheap food and is homeless, or are you just assuming based on stereotypes? If you're curious and you've seen her multiple times, why not go talk to her? Kindly. She's a person, just like you and me.

Gingersnap : She does not cause problems. We are just wondering if she's ok, if anyone knew her story. A few weeks ago, I saw her putting her socks on and her legs were very red and scratched. Not sure if maybe poison ivy/oak or something.
SpaceCat : She came on here (Kingwood.com) several months ago and introduced herself and took photos of herself just letting people know she was living near Bear Branch area. The concern was letting people know where she was because there are offenders in the area. Maybe someone else can remember that thread and can post the link.

Heathur : Heathur: the food is in packages that have the deep discounts from the grocery, the food from the bakery, etc. that's about to be thrown out. That's how I know. The whole point of asking about her is because I'm NOT assuming anything. I'm not interested in you chastising me. lf you can tell me to talk to her kindly, how about you practice it yourself, by speaking to me kindly, or just say nothing at all.
SpaceCat : I always check that rack when I'm shopping. I always look for my favorites. It's still good, and it's also donated to a local food bank, where we give it to our neighbors that come for a little extra help. They may throw stuff out if a fridge or freezer goes below temp. I'm not sure what they do then.
