On the last day of school police tell all KHS parents that the pickup line on valley manor is closed. Now we all have to go on kingwood drive. What worked all year doesn't work on last day of school, huh?

Oh yeah, let's make it really worse for the last day. 😡
My kid finished her last final yesterday so I let her skip today.

My kids are elementary school age and we usually walk... but by the time they get to MS/HS, you bet I'll be picking them up a couple of blocks away from school! Those car lines are ridiculous.

An absolute mess out there right now. Many kids walking to celebrate end of year at all the fast food spots. Pack your patience.

Why I parked behind the playground, or a block and a half away. If it was hot I brought the kids a cold bottles water. Always walked with an umbrella for shade, or to keep the rain off. I walked to the doors of the school, and walking to the car gave us time to chat about their day

LOL "Missy" needs to saddle up. Life gets harder after 4th grade!
most likely done for safety/traffic control, especially since they know there will be lots of excited kids walking, crossing those streets, etc.
