Yeah, I have read some news here and there and it is very sad each time, since some cases have been about family problems, which honestly makes it even more sad. Kingwood is not perfect, but it is way better than so many other places in Houston. It keeps me healthy by providing beautiful and clean tracks to walk and it has taught me how to safely drive in the midst of a storm without skidding. I might move to Austin or Downtown for the next 8 years, or so, for career and networking purposes, but I do see me coming back to Kingwood to raise my children 🌳💚

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I empathize with you and hope that things get better. Don't want to alarm you, but things really can happen anywhere, including here. Stay safe, and enjoy your young life (lives, lol)

I see seniors flourish here! But my social life is very limited! I am not going to hang out with 12 year olds. My best friends on the street are a lovely elderly couple that own a ranch in Crockett. They are 80 and 82, so I bring them food sometimes and sit down to chat with them, but can't bother them with a hike or night out at woodlands waterway

Kingwood is far from perfect but still a great place to live. Periodically we look into relocating and always decide we have the best right here.

gato : Ah, I see what you mean now and yes, it is difficult for younger people to find things to do out here. When I was your age I lived out in Austin and various places in the Hill Country. When I came back to Houston, I lived in the city with some friends, but of course rent was much more affordable back then. It's when I was ready to finally settle down and get married that we purchased a house here in Kingwood. It is good for families with children, but not much of a night life for the younger generation. I hope you still find some adventures out there, and get to have some fun.
