My sister is considering Darst Funeral Home, Kingwood Funeral Ho
Kittle : We used Brookside for my mom's funeral and they were fantastic to del with and the chapels are so pretty. A friend was cremated 2 yrs ago and it was an easy process.

My sister is considering Darst Funeral Home, Kingwood Funeral Home, and Brookside for pre need planning for burial, not cremation. Brookside as served our family needs well however we have no experience with Darst or Kingwood funeral homes. Any recommendations?
Kittle : We used Darst for cremation when my MIL passed away 2 or so years ago. It was $2200. When my friends hubby passed she used McNutt funeral Home in Conroe. The price for cremation was all most half. I'll use McNutt next time.

Kittle : Out of them all, Darst is DH's least fav to work with by a landslide. Everything takes them foreverrr to do. Mcnutt is the fastest and most thorough. If they're not an option, I'd recommend Brookside.
Heathur : Darst was slow with cremating my MIL. They had her for over 2 weeks before they did it.

We went with Darst for both my mom and my brother. Both were a very good experience. Heard also good things about McNutt in Conroe. Not 100% certain if the spelling is correct on the second.

Kittle : I recently went to a memorial service at Kingwood funeral home. It was well done, facilities are very nice, staff was attentive. They had a catered lunch after the service. Not sure how costs compare and the body had been cremated.
