CorkScrew Barbecue gets a Michelin Star
Corkscrew BBQ becomes one of only four Michelin Star restaurants in the State of Texas. The other three are all in Austin; Corscrew is the only one even close to Houston (Old Town Spring). In a review in Business Insider after visiting all four of the BBQ restaurants, Katherine Stinson, the review's author, writes at the end of the review, "After visiting all of these Michelin-starred barbecue joints, CorkScrew was my favorite." I've said it before here, if you want great BBQ, Corskscrew is well worth the short ride to Old Town Spring.

I think it's one of the only four BARBECUE restaurants in Texas that have a star. There are more (non-barbecue) restaurants in Texas that have a star. I'd really like to try Corkscrew but have never braved the line.

FenderBass : I'd really like to try it but every time I drive by I see the line starting at 10:30 am. I love my BBQ, but I'm not willing to stand in line for an hour just to be told they are out of brisket by the time I get to order. I guess I'll stick with Firecraft!
On a side note: I tried Tin Roof for the first time recently. They were the best BBQ I've had around here. (Used to get it in Lockhart all the time. Nothing compares.) I even liked Tin Roof better than Blood Brothers. ...but lord, since when is brisket $30 a pound??

Joe : Agreed I put Tin Roof and Spring Creek in the same category as Dickies. Just very average at best. No reason to go to any of those places when you have Fire Craft lol. I am going to try a spot out in New Caney this weekend called Kirby's. Hearing good things about Kirby's.
