New life for Lake Houston dam gates: As per Fred Flickinger…. Today at Harris County Commissioners Court, I spoke out strongly in support of restoring funding for the Lake Houston Dam gate project, which lost its Harris County Flood Control contribution at the last Commissioners Court meeting due to a $1 billion shortfall in the 2018 Flood Bond program.
With the continued leadership and support of our partners Congressman Dan Crenshaw, State Senator Brandon Creighton, State Representative Charles Cunningham, Mayor John Whitmire, and Harris County Commissioner Tom Ramsey we will ensure this critical flood mitigation project is fully realized for our community. 💧💪 #LakeHouston #FloodMitigation

We should all learn not to approve any bond referendums. VOTE NO! The money is mismanaged and unaccounted for. On August 25, 2018, Harris County voters approved $2.5 billion in bonds to finance flood damage reduction projects. Here we are 7 years later, nothing to show and $1Billion short

We should all learn not to approve any bond referendums. VOTE NO! The money is mismanaged and unaccounted for. On August 25, 2018, Harris County voters approved $2.5 billion in bonds to finance flood damage reduction projects. Here we are 7 years later, nothing to show and $1Billion short
1ontheroadagain : fake news, some has been spent, but none here due to the election results in November 2018. It was less than 20000 votes that flipped the County Judge election.
