I find the comparison of a FREE, public event, paid by others, to the KCC private event paid for by the club, members and member fees, completely unbelievable. You really do get what you pay for, and from what I am reading, those not paying for any of it are the biggest complainers.

I never agree with SandyKnee but on this, she's spot on…

I had enjoyable holiday. We had a good meal and did go see the fireworks. Decent view from Kingwood High School but when I hear what's going on else where with the flooding we should be thankful that we are not in that situation. Praying for those that are.

mutton : That would be a real shame, but how could you blame any sponsor for that choice. Who would want to open themselves up to that much scrutiny.

mutton : Why would they continue to put on a free event that just gets criticized and people act like they purchased expensive tickets for? Instead of just getting out and just having fun with your kids it has to become an issue of something not being good enough when it is basically a gift.

Roxy24 : no it started with COVID,,,Harvey was in late August, nowhere near the 4th of July
