Anyone missing this sweet lady?

She's been hanging out with us at Lone Star College-Kingwood for a couple of days now, and she was pretty hungry. Getting her pic up in case she lives nearby. No chip, no collar, and she's had at least one litter of puppies. I've reached out to a couple of rescues, but I also wanted to get her pic up in case she already has a home. Also posting in a couple of Facebook groups, but open to other suggestions.

Also, HUGE shout-out to the Pet Ranch staff who went above and beyond today. I called to see if they could suggest anyone local to reach out to who might be able to come check her for a chip since we weren't sure we'd be able to get her in a vehicle and secure her, and not only did they come out themselves to do it, they also sent food and treats. 💜 It was such a huge help, and I'm so appreciative!

They do indeed! I'm grabbing a gravity waterer bowl in the morning to set up for her just in case she has to stick around over the holiday weekend, though I'm hoping someone will at least agree to foster her before the 4th so she can be inside and secure when all the inevitable fireworks go off. Fingers crossed!

FreebyrdII for helping this girl. Calling Pet Ranch was good, they are the best. She doesn't appear to be a stray. Hopefully her family can be found or someone can adopt her. Too often people move and abandon pets.

I think there are a few folks in the area who let there pups roam free unfortunately.

GoldenGirl : there are. I know of one guy that has several dogs that have been returned to him and he just doesn't care

A quick update on the sweet lady Sassy (yes, we named her; don't judge): I've been informed she belongs to a man who lives down Sorters Rd. from the college, and that she is often out roaming, and often at the college. I've never seen her, but it sounds like maybe she previously was hanging out in a different area. So, now I'm conflicted -- she has a home to go to, but I'm a little "in my feels" about what kind of care she's receiving there. Dognapping is never the answer, though, so I'm still putting out the water and food in case she needs it over the holiday weekend, and I'll work with some of my campus folks to see if I can help get her back to her owner.

IsisVale : Awe thank you for caring for her. She is adorable and it makes me so sad she has to live that way. With the upcoming fireworks, I hate she is out on the street. Some people should not own dogs.

Thank you so much for taking care of her and watching out for her. I don't think you would be 'dog napping' her, I look at it more as rescuing her from an irresponsible owner. She is so sweet looking.
