@SetecAstronomy : It's apples and oranges depending upon one's perspective. The country used to have military parades on holidays and most national celebrations. These served to raise public awareness of the military strength, instilled national pride/patriotism, promoted military recruitment, and let the world know Americans treasure our active and veteran military members.According to media estimates this parade cost could cost up to $45 million.Imagine how much Biden's $269.2 million allocated to the military for DEI initiatives across fiscal years 2022, 2023, and 2024 could have better benefited our veterans.There's no argument that vets (and active duty personnel) deserve more than they receive.

I manually counted 440 people on two of the four sides of the intersection. There were at least 600 people there, maybe as many as 800 when I was there.
