It's really up to the individual person if they should drive in this weather or not. I know for me and I suspect many of my fellow cold weather raised neighbors on here, driving in this is ho hum, we're just used to it. I could drive in this no problem at all, I've been doing it all my life. We we're from, weather like this doesn't even rate a mention in the news of the day. I'm sure my friends on here from NY, New England, Chicago, Ohio, PA, Wisconsin, Minny, etc will somewhat agree with that.
That said, for native warm weather folks, I can certainly see a reluctance to venture out there on the roads today. Each of us knows our limitations. Act accordingly within whatever your limitations are and everyone should be fine.

Ticagro : I am not afraid of me own driving in this, it is the others around me I fear!

mutton : Yep - all fun and games until some yahoo needs to go 55 on Kingwood drive, comes flying up behind you and slams on the brakes.

Ticagro : That's very true. This area has a mix of people from all over the world. This is nothing at all for people from say Colorado, etc. Sure business might be much slower, but they shouldn't be shamed for opening if they make that choice. Personal choices for safety on both sides of the coin should be respected.

Krogers & HEB in back part of KW opened.
Walgreens & CVS closed.

Sir, I believe if the sun stays out long enough and the temperature stays above 32 until 4 PM as they're predicting, we may be in a situation where the roads are dry and therefore not hazardous tonight. hopefully this will be true🤞🏻…..Our plans however remain to reopen at noon Wed, Jan 22.

Ticagro : I learned to drive in Colorado, but I haven't lived in a snow state since I graduated college in 1973. But until you've driven in a Wyoming blizzard, you've never experienced snow!
I guess maybe upper NY state around Buffalo would come close.

mutton : exactly, the city/county is not prepare to really clear the roads like other States that get snow/ice all the time. Sure the roads can be treated but not to cleared with a snowplow, we don't have that stuff here. Best to stay home and be safe and enjoy your coffee at home instead.

zuesamy : I must confess I've never tried coco creps but my cousin did a few weeks ago and raved about the food. Now, of course I'm going to give it a try.
