I love this weather! I think I'm living in the wrong place as I can not tolerate the heat anymore.

BELOW IS FORECAST MODELS FOR NEXT WEEK. (NOT THIS WEEK.) But a severe forecast this far out (6-7 days) is interesting and definitely something to pay attention to as we get closer to next week.

teatime : Awww you're SO welcome! I love talking weather so it's fun for me. All my friends & family call or text me for weather info so I'm always prepared haha.

It truly is my passion. I wish I would have had the guts to study it after high school and I wish I would have made it my career

Unfortunately, what I want to do (no, not a TV weatherman lol) requires a minimum of a masters degree and a PhD is preferred. It's heavy on science and math....my 2 worst subjects. History & English were my strong suits in high school and that wouldn't help me much.

I hated school and slept thru most of it 🥱 so starting another 10 years after graduating & finally being free was not appealing to me AT ALL.

Now, at 40 years old, I know I could have done it & I really wish I would have. It wouldn't have been easy, but what the hell is, ya know?

As far as starting to do it now... I only have 12 college credits from a community college 🤦‍♀️ and they'd likely need to be redone because that was 22 years ago. Starting a decade of grueling continuing education right now just seems impossible. It's not the money. My dad has said he would write a blank check tomorrow to the college of my choice if I wanted to go back.

I just feel like I missed the opportunity.

Sooooooooo the next best thing is what I do! Anyone can study weather! 🩵⛈️⚡️🌪🌀 I love following pro chasers, being the "House Meteorologist" here and the person everyone calls when the weather gets bad. (My phone blows up when a hurricane enters the gulf lol)

It's incredibly entertaining & I can do as much as I want in my free time!

My biggest regret is not having the knowledge/education so I could storm chase. Chasing tornadoes has been my dream since I was 5, but uneducated, uninformed "chasers" get killed & get other educated chasers killed or put in danger, so I do regret that. I could have gotten an associates or bachelor's degree, and I would know enough to chase.

Whew.... that was a lot longer than anticipated 😂 See, I can talk weather 24/7!
