2023 rainfall/drought numbers On the last day of 2023, we have the official rainfall/drought numbers for the year. As you can see, we are ending the year still well below where we should be. IAH (Kingwood) is in much better shape compared to a lot of areas. -9.74 deficit IAH. -17.25 deficit Hobby. -16.08 deficit Galveston. -12.43 deficit College Station. Current drought map. A vast improvement from where we were the summer! Breakdown:

StormChaser : Thanks for posting this! I was just wondering this a few days ago as the year ends. Fingers crossed 2024 will be better!

cbear : And that we don't get a year's worth of rain in one storm like we've gotten some years.

Hmmm. I wonder. If we have an abundance of rain in 2024, do you think COH will reduce water rates? Ha! As if.

CaffeineFree : Funny you! I think every April the rates go up a bit. I have been hearing some rumblings/rumors that Mayor turnip was addressing this issue a few weeks ago. I hope Whitmire can help. You know me well! Cbear = Water Nazi!!!
