This makes me furious. Those poor kids must have been scared out of their minds. Nothing funny about it and it should be treated harshly. Students could have been seriously injured in their efforts to get to safety. To have a night of fun turn out to be one of terror is no prank. Some of them are only 11 or 12 in middle school and it breaks my heart that they had to experience this.

100% teatime...wtf is wrong with parents these days? Or are they even present?

Here is something that was posted by someone I know on FB. Apparently someone have fireworks in there

sweetie : Wait a minute. So, school officials knew about rumors of a school shooting at the dance, had extra police presence, failed to tell parents about said rumors and still held the dance? What were the school officials thinking?

Definitely seems f'ed up J2911...who is "we hadn't heard about until after"...I assume parents. But still...these rumors need to be investigated properly and prior to the event taking place. Still, I place the blame on the kids and their parents.

Chiza : They probably were not there. I was at every field trip, party or dance when my son was there. A very wise woman once told me no one will ever watch or care for your child like you will. I heard her loud and clear. Luckily, those days I didn't have to be in an office and could volunteer. Times have changed though.

Chiza : It's awful my friend her son went to the dance. She said the kids were scared out of their mind. Someone was shouting shooter shooter. And they were all running

J2911 : they were more interested in showing off their pretty new play thing to the world. Congrats though to the parents of the disrupters for probably enabling one of the school:s best learning experiences of the week. Hopefully the social media drama department won't over constipate themselves into lockdown mode.
