@sfa1tx : It is a smaller auto insurance company "State Auto". I had all kinds of issues with State Farm so I thought for the first time, I would go with a smaller company, which I think State Auto is still better than State Farm, or let me say the State Farm agent that I used to have (not mentioning any names though). My home owner's insurance company has approved to cover my home's roof but not the detached garage roof. Indeed my home roof is in much worse condition, But the garage shingles have become unglued with trash laying underneath them after close to 20 years and they need to be replaced as well to match the home's new shingles. @mutton : it is about 19 years old. But with all the shingles that blew off of my home this year, we feel that the raised shingles on the garage was from the wind also. Unfortunately, my garage does not have the covered walkway attaching it to the house also....

@mare567 : An adjuster came out and we all thought we were on the same page but never saw what he turned in. I don't think I have his phone number anymore. I would feel better if I heard it from him though, since he was a sub-contractor they called out. That might be a good idea - for me to look him up and ask him what his real opinion was.
However, my roofer went back up and took a lot of pictures himself and sent them to the insurance company and got nowhere fast.
