Hit & run scooter incident in Conroe this morning

What kind of person would not stop for a kid that they hit. That is insane.

some folks I guess just feel entitled that their time is more valuable? I have no idea. I stop for flipping bunnies and squirrels to cross.

We do not really know the details; the person who wrote the original query said that the driver ran the stop sign. They were So in the wrong, if they did. Not defending the driver in Any way. The problem here IS: untrained, untried driver on a Scooter vs a multi ton Car. Not a fair 'fight'. SO many drivers are on their cells, and Not paying attention when they drive, which Adds to the danger for a child with no real protection. Seriously hoping the driver is found and charged; count One is leaving the scene

The school zone flashing lights should have been active at that hour…. Reducing the speed limit to 35!! The driver should have been able to stop. WHO doesn't pay attention during "school zone" hours!?!?!? 🤨🤷‍♀️

they were probably coming from a side/neighborhood street, so no indicators. BUT...we ALL know what time the streets are busy with school traffic, so I agree. NO excuse. My guess is that a camera somewhere would have caught the incident. hope so.

I hope you're right. Many people have dash cams now. I can't imagine not stopping… even if she ran the stop sign, Running the sign could be seen as a true accident/not intentional by a judge. BUT not stopping was a choice!! I pray they find her & she pays the price!

Yes! the person who did this most likely lives in the area, so the car will be seen again, and I hope that leads to an arrest.

Seems like everyone is going to hell in a hand basket & it's getting harder and harder to stay out of the basket.

Regardless of who was at fault, the driver of the car is required to stop and give aid and wait for authorities. Even if the child was at fault the ADULT driver didn't act like an adult.
