In terms of Raffia's, it is illegal to carry with a establishment that sells alcohol. I have a CHL but I don't actively carry unless I know that my ex is around and threatening to come to house and kill us again after 16 years of divorce. I do carry one on some camping trips. Had to use one on scaring away a grizzly we were retreating from said bear that was following us. Not on the bear, just the noise factor and reported it to the park service. There are so many other options to choose from besides a firearm.

I have seen stupid chit in kids sports. This doesn't surprise me. The kids with parents directly involved probably won't pick up a glove again after this

Whenever, wherever I go, I'm on a pivot, and you can bet I'm judging everyone and everything. No matter where I go, I do a walkabout. I know where the exits, kitchen, and bathrooms are. I get a good look at everyone in the place, and I sit facing the door or where I have clear site of the whole place. Keep my back to a wall.

As a gun owner from a young age, hunting, living on a farm, etc I see few reasons to carry. I do carry when traveling but have never needed to pull nor even thought about it.
Why do people see the need to carry at community events, children's sports (even getting into it over them) is beyond my sane mind.
Time to have a hard conversation about the glory worship of guns in today's society. That conversation also needs to include the value of human life, controlling anger, etc. Humanity is failing itself.
