You assume that everyone who is homeless is in their right mind, and able to make sound choices. Based on the information I've gathered about this gal, she is not in her right mind. But because she's is of adult age, no one can force her into a place that can help her, and she doesn't have to take medications or anything. I guess that's the line...if someone is not of sound mind, are the capable of making choices that society considers to be good (to be a productive and contributing member)? There is a valid point that if you support and tolerate too much, it can become a problem (sanctuary cities). But when I'm staring someone in the face who is homeless, I'm going to be kind. It's easy to judge when you are not front and center with the person, especially when they are NOT harmful to anyone around.

teatime : This is likely her. Creekwood is her area. I see her walking towards the community center sometimes. But I checked with them, and they only saw her one time. She was talking to herself, but nothing violent or scary. We've also seen her when she's talking to "someone" but no one is there and she's no on her phone. My husband and I have been seeing her for months, and she is homeless, so far as we can tell. She sleeps on the bench on the greenbelts on the greentree side of the greenbelt underpass, though she does move around some.

SpaceCat : I don't assume. I expected she is not in her right mind. Perfect next to our schools. This is why a suggest the police get involved. If she were to be arrested for trespassing she would be protected and given an opportunity for rehabilitation.

Cbear : Despite what the media likes to push, homeless folks aren't normally the victims of regular crime because they usually have nothing of value on them....The main crimes against them are "hate crimes" where they are attacked just for being homeless or being in an area where some snobs don't want them around....
