Looks like the bike she was riding was illegal. The thing is, if the parents don't buy them, the kids don't have them to ride.

Correct!! It's all on the parents!

Parents need to stop buying them! They need warning labels on them!

#msg5920498StinksMcNulty : I think the main issue is a higher speed, and maybe less control. Not sure how much of an issue it really is...I wonder when we'll start getting stats about eBike injuries...
#msg5920497StinksMcNulty : Oh just stop it. You are one of only two that I've seen who doesn't see the danger in 8 and 9 year olds sharing Kingwood Dr with 6 ton chunks of steel. You know better.
#msg5920574Ruger5 : Rhetoric much? They aren't "6 ton chunks of steel ". They're cars. They have drivers. Give me a break.
#msg5920539I see ebikes on WLH PKWY going through the turn in at the Y everyday and never look for cars. And since they all wear black clothes and hoodies it's hard to see them crossing back and forth in the shade in the Town Center area.. It's only a matter of time.
One on an electric bike shot out in front of someone I knew and they tapped them. It will require some poor kid to die before they really address it.
PlaneCrazy, Ruger5 and Txbutterfly reacted #msg5920668StinksMcNulty : If they are riding on the main arteries in the community (like KW drive, Lake Houston, Woodland Hills and Northpark, no....they are a hazard.
