TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I try not to go into the KW Post Office for anything, but if I do need to go I'll have my phone on silent in my purse. It's actually what I use to lock/unlock my car.
CatalinaD : LOL, I don't blame you. That's why I stayed in the car. I go in there as seldom as possible. I see no reason not to have my cell in my purse when I go in.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I think I have one on it now but, I have lost 2 phones to the pool so I have a bit of PTSD. I may change and bring it ouside but keep it far from the water and in the shade.
cbear : Maybe leave it on a patio table with an umbrella to shade it. Mine overheated one time when I left it in the car and it automatically turned off so it would not get damaged.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They don't want you to use them while you are doing your transaction. They don't want others in line to be talking on their phone.
ForestFinds : I can understand that! I will continue to take mine in and just leave it in my purse.

cbear : I agree, I have to wonder if they are trying to keep people from recording them.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They do not have the right to restrict the use in the p.o. There are restrictions for employee use, only.
LittleTexas : There should be restrictions for employee usage but not for the customer. On the other hand, customers should be respectful with the usage. No body wants to hear their entire conversation.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I saw the sign as well a while back. I don't think there is any law or ordinance prohibiting it. I assumed this particular office took it upon itself to post it because they've had so many complaints about the service. They probably don't want anyone videotaping. I take my phone in regardless.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They're looking for creative ways to make the wait at the post office even worse than it already is, I guess... ; ) I can't imagine browsing my phone while waiting in line could bother anyone.
Joe : You made me LOL! It would be awfully boring! That line can be supper slow moving.
TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They can be recorded as well. There is a poster #7 required to be posted that says official business may be filmed. There is no expectation of privacy while in public. It is part of the first amendment. Good manners, tells you not to stand at the counter and not interfere with them doing their job.
