J.M. Maly, Inc. has been providing building specialty services as a subcontractor on commercial construction projects in the Houston area for over 35 years. We are currently seeking a Toilet Partition/Specialty Installer whose primary responsibility is the successful completion of projects within the safety, quality, scheduling and financial parameters set by the company.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage, train and work alongside a crew to install materials on commercial construction projects
• Maintain jobsite folders with all related project documentation
• Plan day to day operations to ensure materials and manpower are organized and utilized in an efficient manner
• Coordinate and communicate with General Contractor and other trades on a jobsite
• Exhibit a dedication to safety at all times, including oversight to ensure that proper safety equipment is provided to crew members
• Motivate crew through commitment to quality workmanship and a positive, can-do attitude.
Skills Required:
• A minimum of 1 year commercial construction experience
• Strong communication skills at all levels: able to clearly provide instructions to crew, confidently communicate with General Contractor and easily coordinate with other trades
• Mechanically inclined with proven problem solving skills: able to read, understand and apply project drawings and experience to ensure efficient installation process while maintaining highest quality standards
• Thorough knowledge of small power and hand tools
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices (OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 a plus)
• • Strong work ethic: willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime when required
• Physically able to stand, walk, climb, balance, lift, bend and move materials and equipment up to 80 pounds
