Operations Assistant - Kingwood Job

Houston Clock Repair (houstonclocks.com) specializes in swiss style repair for antique timepieces. Located in Kingwood, the business operates a second location in the greater Austin area. The company is looking for a contract operations specialist to help part time with incoming appointment requests, repair status updates, and customer service inquiries.

What You’ll Do
Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages from clients requesting appointments.
Leverage custom built CRM for setting appointments and creating customer profiles
Work closely with the founder to answer client questions and ensure founder follows up with necessary clients
Create invoices for corporate clients as necessary
Provide status updates on repair progress and update CRM with status to ensure quick client response
Assist with service call routing each weekend
Welcome clients as they arrive for their appointments
Oversee incoming and outgoing inventory and place orders for supplies
Occasionally assist founder with other personal tasks such as shipping, car maintenance, etc.

What You’ll Need
3-5+ years of customer service experience
Strong vocal presence and ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. (Why vocal presence matters: You may be speaking to elderly people who struggle to hear; speaking clearly greatly helps these individuals.)
Comfortable with computers, phones, texting, and email along with ability to pick up new softwares easily
Strong organizational skills and desire to create systems and efficiencies
Experience with strong personalities preferred (clock people can be very passionate)
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and a solutions over problems attitude a must
Ability to carry up to 25 pounds
Must carry a valid drivers license and insurance and have your own transportation, phone, and home internet (when remote).

15-20 hours per week at $12-15/hr. depending on experience
