Conservation Connections Event Details:
Give back to your community, and help park staff collect important scientific data for education and research purposes. Volunteers are invited to join staff and assist with a variety of park conservation projects and learn more about the restoration work that happens at the preserve. Get to know the Prairies and Piney woods of North Houston!
Ages 18+ or children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations recommended by emailing JesseJonesPark@pct3.hctx.net.
Projects include working in the greenhouse to grow native plants, in addition to:
- First Wed of month: maintain vegetable & herb gardens
- Second Wed of month: monitor water quality
- Third Wed of month: maintain butterfly garden and upload data to Budburst
- Fourth Wed of month: restore habitats and upload data to iNaturalist and eBird
