This awesome toy is the Lone Ranger Hi-Yo Silver Cap Gun from the 1940's!
It is the Kilgore brand as shown on the grips with the "K" in a circle and the bucking horse symbol. I believe it is cast iron as a magnet does stick to it. This piece has a perfectly working trigger and hammer. I believe the trigger is the pre-1945 narrow trigger but I am not absolutely positive about that.
The Hi-Yo Silver wording is easy to read on both grips. The inside of the gun is immaculate. There is some age discoloration on the gun body but I don't see any actual rust. One of the grips, the left one, has come away somewhat from the handle at the top and bottom edges but is not loose.....see the picture for a view of this.
