This is a ceramic bowl made by Gonder Ceramic Arts company - in the 1950's. It is in very good condition (does have some dimpling on the interior surface - I have seen the same dimpling on a few other Gonder bowls for sale on eBay - is probably part of the manufacturing process). $27.00.

The bowl (referred to as a console bowl) is 8 inches across with a 6 inch opening and 3 inches tall. It is wide and low with scalloped sides in a mottled blend of sea green and brown fading into pink on the inside. It is signed Gonder on the bottom and H29. Gonder Ceramic Arts was opened by Lawton Gonder in 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio. Gonder made high-grade pottery decorated with flambe, drip, gold crackle, and Chinese crackle glazes until the factory closed in 1957. This bowl is truly an amazing example of mid-century pottery!
Located in Kingwood. Pickup only.

Price: $27.00
