Values and Direction

Jesus invites every person to become his disciple. It is an invitation to trust him, to follow him, and to become like him.

Each disciple is called to make disciples who make disciples. This is how we grow.

We are called to be Disciple-Making Disciples who are...

Biblically Literate

2 Timothy 3:16-17 — In order to be disciple-making disciples of Jesus, we must be intimately familiar with the biblical narrative and its “SO WHAT” application to our lives. God’s Word is the first and final authority in all areas of faith and life.

This is who and what we know.

Spiritually Formed

Romans 12:1-8 — Becoming like Jesus is a “whole person project.” The Holy Spirit in us transforms us from the inside out and changes how we live and move in this world as we anticipate his coming again and life in the next.

This is how we are transformed.

Mission Focused

Genesis 22:17-18 — The blessing and responsibility given to Israel extends to the church; therefore, the church does not exist only for the benefit of its members; rather, its members are sent into the world, a blessed people who bless people.

This is how we love others.

Gospel Fluent

Acts 2 — Disciples of Jesus are fluent in the gospel of Jesus, the good news of the coming of the Kingdom of God. This gospel and the kingdom life is visible most clearly in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

This is how we live.

Our Mission

Our mission for our students is to leave our program loving school, feeling Christ's love, and confident in their abilities to thrive in elementary school.
About Us

We make it our mission at CFS to provide each child with a personalized and enriched early childhood education in a loving Christian atmosphere. We do this through maintaining small classes with low student to teacher ratios, establishing a loving family-oriented school culture, providing purposeful and meaningful child-centered learning and play, and promoting healthy self-confidence in each child.

CFS is nestled in the back section of Kingwood in the heart of the Foster’s Mill, Sand Creek, Green Tree, Riverchase and King’s Point communities.

Mother's Day Out (MDO)

We offer 4 levels of MDO classes in which children are grouped according to their birthday. MDO ages range 12-36 months. These classes are designed with this specific age group in mind, so the focus is on social and emotional development and building language skills. MDO classes use pictures, sensory tables, texture boards, music, and movement as their main tools for developing social and emotional intelligence so that they can explore their world.

We offer a variety of combinations of classes for MDO ranging from 2, 3 to 4 days a week. Parents are able to choose which days of the week they want their children to attend.

School hours for MDO are 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.
Preschool 3's and 4's

Our Preschool 3’s and 4’s classes graduate into slightly more structured environments but still with the emphasis on child-centered exploration through purposeful and meaningful activities.  In preschool, children will play in social centers designed to build fine and gross motor development as well as early literacy concepts and math concepts.  Science and social studies are also introduced through meaningful experiments, centers, and guest speakers and field trips.  Our curriculum is child centered, play based and is aligned with Humble ISD’s so that our students are well prepared for public school.  Small class sizes ensure that instruction is individualized and intimate.  All preschool students enjoy “specials” classes to enrich their core classrooms.

Preschool 3’s and 4’s also meets at a variety of times.  We have 3 days a week and 4 days a week programs AND half day (8:30-1:00) OR full day (8:30-2:30) classes.
Kindergarten

Our private Kindergarten program uses the standards of Humble ISD and follows the TEKS set forth by the state of Texas. Our Kindergarten teacher, Brenda Long has over 20 years’ experience and 14 of those have been dedicated to CFS.  She creates a learning environment which is structured but also playful.  She uses hands on, whole body activities to teach reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.  Kindergarten students work both individually and in groups.  The climate of this classroom is friendly and focused.  They work hard and play hard while learning.  Our private kindergarten class is half the size of it’s public school counterpart, and our students benefit from individualized and differentiated instruction.

Our kindergarten students practice reading readiness, story writing, core math concepts: adding/subtracting, graphing, sequencing, greater than/less than, and sorting.  Creative science experiments bring science to life and social studies is enriched through guest speakers, field trips, social centers and a community atmosphere.  All kindergarten students enjoy the same specials classes as our preschool children such as: Music, Art, PE and Garden.  Kindergarten students participate in programs throughout the year which celebrate their learning such as: Christmas Program, Art Showcase, and End of the Year Program to name a few.  Participating in these programs builds self-confidence and a healthy self-esteem.
